New amp wiring about to go in.

I was going to install this stuff today but the 18 pack of coors and half a bottle of jack I had yesterday aint sittin well so I do it tomorrow lol.

Anyway it's 4 gauge wiring, grommets, connectors, fuse holder and fuse, and new remote wire. Got it all from http://www.knukonceptz.com/ for like $35 with shipping. They make good stuff, I have one of thier distrobution blocks and bettery terminals.

I can't wait to get it all in the truck. I miss my subs being on. Hopefully I'll get some more punch out of my 1600watt amp with these wires over my old 8 gauge crap.

Dan

thats funny, I don't see "RMS" anywhere in there. I doubt I'm even getting the full 1600 at peak.

these are the specifications of my amp, I'm running the subs at 2ohms. I would like to drop them to 1ohm. But I don't know much about doing that. I know my subs are rated to work on 1ohm but I don't know if the amp will like it.

if you hate that amp so much what would you recomend then? I may not be getting the advertised power out of it but I am getting very powerfull and clean bass out of the setup even with the 8 gauge power wire I was using.

what are your plans for your "coming soon-3K in audio"?

wahts the THD? then we can determine the corrct power. well, as far as my system its on hold since i just got me my foxbody i am working on at this time, but you can visit my shop website to see what kinda rides we build. www.audioexpress1.com then you can guage the system i will be doing. pay close attention to the explorer with 4-15" Digital Designs, 3 alternators, and 6 batteries...

Sony is probably the worst car audio ever made. Best buy is finally getting the same notion after all of us installers b*tching for years. Awesome amps are Anything by directed electronics, orion, ads, viper, etc. V12 alpines are decent to. BUt stay far away from sony @ 4 ohms i would bet your getting about 250-300 watts MAX

The bickering is pointless to this thread. Keep it on topic or off this board.
