Mounting everything in the jump seat location

Mounting everything in the jump seat location
So, I want something more than stock. But, I do not want to lose all space, and I don't want something sticking out for every thief to see and steal. I do not find the jumpseats usable. I want to mount the amplifier(s) on one side and the subwoofer on the other. I know that someone has to have done this before, and someone has to have pictures. If you could, please post some pics on how everything was mounted.
Also, how much of a difference does the dynamat do? Where does it affect everything the most? Should I do the entire cab?
Thanks

i plan on building a box that replaces the pass side jump seat. box will be about 2.5 cubes for a SI mag 2 15". I will be mounting the amps to a rack below that with fans for cooling.
as far as sound deading. look at second skin products, they are cheaper and work better. and i feel that its use in any car with a system is benificial for making the system louder, and keeping the outside noise out. yes to the entire cab.

Well for the box, fiberglass will be your friend. Or even a combo of fiberglass and mdf. Using just mdf will make the construction a lot more complicated. You could make a cardboard template back in the jump seat spot and then fiberglass it. You can go to fiberglassforums.com for more info if you are new to fiberglassing.
I saw someone who mounted an amp on behind the jumpseat and then cut a vent into the front of it so it wouldn't overheat. You could not tell there was an amp there.

Im thinking about getting something like this for my truck they fit under the jumpseats and when install you cant see the subs or the amp and you still can still use the seats. I know its not for your year of truck but it still might fit.

i have seen someone with the same gen truck as you with the 2 door ext. cab and since they had the flip down rear jumpers they mounted an amp on one the the jumpers and they could just fold the seat in and you couldnt see the amp...i think they just had the sub out in the open though...ill see if i can get pics...

I checked the MTX site and didnt see anything that would work without more work than building from scratch.
I will build the box out of wood, I have yet to hear anything that sounds right down low like wood.
Rudem, want it completley hidden so that it cant get stolen or anything stupid can happen when I throw things in the back.
Ranger Justin, that may be the way to do the amp.

Might not be what your looking for, but i had 2-12's mounted where my jump seats were....
I removed them, and cut a piece of 3/4" plywood, drilled 3 hols and counter sank the bolts so the box would set flush with the plywood....Very sturdy MUCH louder since the bass hits the cab instead of the soft seat....
