Looks sweet. Which subs are you putting in it?

I hope you don't lean your seat back often, I know I enjoy a nap between classes once in a while!

i am throwing my 12" alpine type r's in... the seats dont go full tilt back but are still confy.. my old box gave me less room then this one does...

the subs are firing upward... in between the two towers( can think what to call them) there are three shelves... on the top shelf is where i am mounting my cb.. the two bottom shelves will hold the amps...

Definitely not your ordinary design, i like it. Wonder if you'll hear much of the suspension getting worked out since it faces up. Also how will you plug the square holes at the bottom of each box?

Im glad you still kept jack. I cant stand people who gut a car and put a huge system in it but has no jack in case of a flat tire.

kick @$$ box, cant wait for the final result.

i listen to rap but its more of a show off then anything.. going to have projection leds shining on each sub.. as for the built... i made two seprate boxes (rectangular) to the specs of my subs.. then just added the side braces to raise the boxes up to some what even with the rear window... then added shelfs in the center of the two boxes to mount my amps and cb... so the big hole at the bottom is really for storage which is what i was going for.. and i really dont like to sleep in my truck so reclining the seats isnt that big of a problem for me.. they slide all the way back and still have a good tilt to them

the setup is heavy.. but its solid.. just have to do a few more things to it and then its ready to paint..

i will get pics of it setting in the truck with the subs in tommorrow if all possible to show it better.

Ah, good call. I've been drilling holes and sealing with glue or liquid nails so long that didn't occur to me.

thats what i usually do too.. those terminal jack things are alright to use sometimes.. like when wanting to remove a box.. but, i dont seem them neccessary on his setup, seeing that everything's connected.. and the amp would be coming out along with the box anyway (so leaving the wiring connected would be no problem during removal).

yeah the little holes are for square terminals... as for heavy yes it is... around 35 for each (tower) plus my subs then amps so around 150 or so when done... i am going to anchor the back using the holes already there from the jump seats. the way i have it made it slopes alittle to the back and sits flat and doesnt move ( took awhile but its pretty much level all around).. as for the jack (evan) you are right i got looking at it and need to find something else to do with it...

i am painting it black and then thinking about putting a clear coat on..
