new to rangers, but not to car audio

I was wondering what size boxes people have behind a single seat of their extended cab trucks? i have an 04 xlt, with the suicide doors in the back. i also have a Stereo Integrity mag 2 15" sub that requires around 2.5-3.0 cuft with the amount of power i am pusing to it.

i want to be able to keep one of the rear jump seats (preferably the passenger side one) and i should probally keep the jack and whatnot accessable. this leaves me with finding room for the box, 2 amps, and a kinetik 600 (small battery called the cap killer).

i got a few plans for this truck, where are some "key" spots for sounddeading and vibration assiatance. i figure the rear doors are gonna need a whole lot of tlc. even thought the truck is really quite on the inside.

no...i'm broke as hell.

I decided to lift before I get my stereo plans in gear.

Now I'm paying off some debt before school starts so I dunno when I'm getting to finishing my stereo.

So far I want to:
get kick panels and put 5.25's in em
amp my 3 sets of speakers (front/kickpanel/rears)
build my carputer
glass my screen in the front
glass my HU in my expo console
get a orion 2500d for my subs
get a yellowtop for the engine
bluetop (deep cycle) for my subs (run it in the ext cab)
run a regulator

And thats about it for now :)

About 2k I'm guessing...shouldn't be that bad though

Dan I'm going to have a set-up very similar to yours installed here in the next month or so. I'll have a sealed 1.25 cu box, a JL 300/4, a JL 250/1, and a computer all to hide as well. I have the box designed and partially built to replace the passenger side jumpseat, and I think I will lay the amps and computer on the floor behind the driver's seat and build a small shelf to lay over them so they can't be seen, and I can still put my book bags and such back there. It should allow for the driver's jumpseat to fold down still and leaves plenty of room for the jack to be easily accessible too.

My partially built box can be found in a thread in the Audio/Video section.

As far as deadener, I'm just second-skinning the entire interior. I notice the most noise on the inside from the transmission/tires and wind noise over the roof though, if you want to isolate particular spots.

I used b-quiet and dynomat everywhere. You can barely hear the engine/road

Espeically with the new tires...you can barely hear em going down the hwy with windows up/no music.

Now windows down...there's quite a HUMMMMMM

How are you building this box and amp rack? Got any pics or drawings?

You can find my thread in the audio/video forum... I'm too lazy to look it up, my photobucket was already open in another window, haha. I don't have any pictures of the amp rack yet, just a mental image.

wow, thread hijack a bit. lol. and as for the tcab, i dont want to get into a debate or anything, but i am sorry about the tcab box...

anywhoo, i think it is gonna be a tight fit for what i want, the box i have now is a 2.7 cube box, but the dimensions are wrong (normal box) so i gotta build something that is more conforming to behind the seat where the jump seat is (gonna take it out obviously)

^^^no hard feelings

nearly everyone hates tcab...I dunno, i'm throwing 145's around like nothing, I got 1kwRMS to 2 12's...it cost me a little over 500 for everything.

I'm happy!!!

I would have rather got the new RE's, but I'm broke...and I would rather put money into my truck.

I'm more carputer/sq now than anything.

My setup stays on -6 all the time...I rarely bump with windows down, etc
