new setup question

The setup I'm looking at getting is the following:

- Fi SSD 12" Sub
- Alpine MRP-500 amp
- Polk db651s either coax or components i havent decided
- Possibly a 100w amp to power the db651s
- Pioneer DEH-P5000UB h/u

My question is, will this system require an upgrades to my trucks electrical system ('98 4.0 V6)? I was hoping I'd be able to run it off everything stock cause I'm tight on cash..

You should be okay on stock electronics.

But i'd get something other than Polk DB's. I had them in my truck and i didn't like them very much.

I'd go Infinity all the way.

As for the rest of the system, its all open for changes. I do really like what I hear about the Fi SSD sub though. Any suggestions?

I am just running some Pioneer 3-ways all around because they were cheap and better than stock, have a good all around sound, hit decently for not being amped as well. My last truck I had some Alpine Type Rs with a Basslink. Loved it! Alpines had good highs and decent mids to them. I have the Basslink in my other car now. Perfect amount of bass for me.

Yeah I'm trying to decide whether to go with 2ways or components up front (there wont be any speakers in the rear). With components I wouldn't have the money to amp them, but with coaxs I probably would. Or I could just pocket the saved cash. Either way i'm leaning towards either infinity kappa's or references.

Also anyone have recommendations for a 500w amp to power the 12"? My budget's tight so I was looking at the alpine m500 which I can get for $150. Any other amps to check out in that pricerange?
