New sub box and amp that fit under the seats!
So I decided to put my amp under my seat and make a box that will still fit under the jump seats because I always use them in the winter. The amp brackets are just bent aluminum that are bolted down with the seat bolt and the front of the amp is screwed down into the seat bolt bracket under the rubber floor with self tapping screws. Also I did have to take out the spring under the seat that helps with moving forward the seat but I can still easily move it forward without the spring in but I rarely move my seat so it wasnt a big deal. Enjoy.

Also ignore the extra wire, I am replacing this wiring kit and putting it into my car so I didn't bother cutting it down. http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/3722/img0728x.jpg Left bracket. http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/4927/img0732dbo.jpg Everything can be adjusted from the side no matter where the seat is. |
Very clean looking. Get some carpet or something on the box and you'll be set.

8 ga wire for a "1000w" amp?
|
It's 1000W peak, but only 500RMS and the sub is only 250RMS so I am safe even if I had a sub that could handle more power.
|
Gotcha, yeah I just looked 500w RMS at 4 ohm or 2x250 at 2 ohm. It's all good.
