Orion subs

I know I've been posting a lot lately about car audio, but I'm trying to do as much research as I can before making a purchase. I was looking at Orion subs and they look to be pretty good based on their specs. My amp puts out around 400 watts at 2 ohm and the Orion hp dual 4 needs around 500 watts rms. Would this amp be too underpowered to hear this sub with a 100 watt difference? Also, does anyone know anything about Orion subs? From what I've heard, they are pretty good, but that's only based off two or three reviews. Would I be better off with a JL W3? Before, I wanted to buy two 12's, but I realized one 10 would be more practical and cost about the same price anyways and still hit harder than the two 12s. I'm looking for good SQ mainly and then spl, although it is still important to me. Thanks

I havent heard much about the orion subs. Quest should know more about them. Personally, before i would purchase a sub, i would want to hear them first.

That being said, Ive heard JL before and they are amazing. They are a bit pricey but well worth it.

how much space do you have to work with?

orion makes soem real nice subs. they can take a hell of a lot of power, but not required... of course with any sub, the more you get closer to the rms the better it will perform.

I'm hoping that this works out because I can get this sub for $130 on cardomain right now(not sure how long that deal will last) and it's right in my budget. I just need to know if this sub can hit alright or not?

Oh I found them, only they come in the single 4 ohm and I would need a dual 4 ohm sub. I'll go with the Orion, I've heard nothing but good things about them and I'm not too critical about what I get. Thanks for the help!

TC sounds has a 2 year warranty i believe. there is nothing wrong woth them and they hit harder than the type-r does anyways. Thats like saying RE and FI audio are crap b/c they are online brands. Yes you do have to wait but b/c they have to build them in house and it takes a day or two but its well worth it. He is also looking for SQ which is wat they are all about.
