well you could try wiring everything yourself...or drop the $50 and save a headache...might be able to find a good pic of the ford one and wire it from the pic and not buy the harness...

So, i installed it this weekend! All in all, I think it was definitely worth the money. Took me about 30 minutes to install and it works like a dream! Sorry about the low quality pics, I just shot this from my phone..

yup, plug and play. it's really quite simple.
I was going to get the one with the screen too, but I figured I don't need it. It announces the caller's name already, and I thought the screen would interfere with my head unit's screen, so this is very subtle on the dash. I'd recommend it.

it says the callers name?!?! i didnt know that. damn i think ill go with this instead of the fancy HU i was going to get for the truck with BT in it...was going to get the parrot for my civic...does it automatically mute the radio when you have an incoming call to say who is calling? i may have to come by and check this thing out...

yeah, it says the caller's name, but you have to record the name first, so it's essentially repeating your voice when they call you (which is probably better, so it doesn't sound like some robot **** voice haha).
and yes, it mutes the radio when you have an incoming call or when you make a call.
you can do everything without even touching the unit, just by saying "phone" and "hang up". and everyone i've talked to through it doesn't even know i'm on a mic

for sure dude.. let me know if you wanna come look at it.

well, you have to send the contacts to the parrot via bluetooth, and then record the "voice tags" for each of the caller ID's, so I only recorded the one's who call me the most. it's really easy, though. takes about 15 seconds per contact
