Please Help! 2006 antenna install problem

I’m trying to install an antenna base and antenna mast to the wire that I have. I got both new parts today in the mail but the antenna base doesn’t have a screw in hole like the bottom of the antenna has! Imma post a picture, can someone please help me with this. I thought this would be easier ?

Theres no place to screw anything in to. It’s just two little points on this antenna base??

You still have the cover on the base. You need to pop the plastic cover off of the base. From there you will see the screws that hold the base. Remove them, remove the base, unplug the antenna lead, and then re-install in reverse order.

Hard to tell from an overexposed blurry photo, but is the old antenna simply broken off?

I installed that new black plastic Basel cover tonight and I installed the 3 screws into the antenna base. That antenna base has a spot for the orange plug to plug into on the bottom. That top part of that antenna base has nothing to screw the mast into.

That is a brand new antenna base that is blurry. Sorry I will take it off and take a better picture of the top part.

Here’s the new antenna base that installed and that I just removed from my truck. The new antenna mast has a screw thread on the bottom of it, where do I put it ?

Guys I just figured it out! That was a screw that was in the top of the new antenna base I took it out and the new antenna mast fits perfectly into the Antenna base, I can’t believe it’s just a screw cover cap that just comes right out!

Where did you buy it? I bought one brand new for a Friend's Ranger years ago and it didn't have a screw in the base.
