looks good, but do your seats lean all the way back? I was looking for a box design that allows both seats to lean all the way back, still get good sound, and have 1 jump seat still available, then i decided maybe that was to much to ask,, then i ran out of money.

Well if i wanted to lean my seat all the way back, ill just move the box over and do so.... I able to use both jump seats when its in the middle as pictured.

As far as both seats leaning all the way back, i doubt it!!!

I also got to ambitious as I wanted a bandpass box. Eventually i just made a little tiny sealed one and put it behind my passenger seat. If i need a 3rd seat, they can just sit on the box. I ran out of money to buy a new amp/ sub so i kinda just gave up. My system sounds great for rock, and that's mainly what i listen to anymore, so until i phase back to rap, or start making more money, i'll be happy.

Would this amp work with my sub?? I for some reason cant understand the relationship between an amp and sub for some reason. It confuses me :(

Here's the amp that I got for my sub. You should look for an amp that will do 400 watts rms. Since your sub is a dual voice coil and each coil is 4 ohms, if you wire it correctly you should be able to make the amp be able to see a 2 ohm load. This amp will do 400 watts rme at 2 ohms. Also, this amp is a little cheaper then the one your looking at. I found this amp does well in tight quarters, as far as heat is concernd, from my experience.

Ok as for wiring right now.. Here is a link of how to wire this sub up to get the correct ohms. As of right now I have it wired up just like the "wiring option 2". With that Alpine amp, which way should i wire it?

With the Alpine I suggested you would want to go with wiring option 1, that way the amp will see a 2 ohm load.

I like the idea man... I don't like how the amp is visible though... I'd build a piece to go over it that's removable... But that's me...

Good build!

Well you could always cover it and run it for awhile and see how how it gets by liftin it up and checking...

To give you an idea on mine...

Mine is sandwiched on the back of my box between the back of the box and my seat... and it's pressed up against it firmly and it just gets warm...

Lucky for most new amps they have a thermal relay on the board that will shut the power off to the amp until it reaches a temperature low enough to power the amp back up... then you'll know if it's gotten too hot and you won't fry your amp... That's what I would do...

The amp should have a thermal fuse/relay which will make it alright if it gets too hot. It'll trip the fuse before the amp frys up or catches on fire lol

build a "wall" around the amp. make a frame with dowel pins in it, cover the frame with a Thin breatheable cloth, and press it in, and now the amp is covered

I got a Rockford Fosgate 300.2 with 1 kicker cvr 12 amp fits under passenger seat. I can crank the music up for awhile and it gets warm but not hot and it is very hidden from unwanted eyes =)
