I just added a six inch sub between my center console and the back seat, it is powered by an audiopipe amp. Will post pics soon.
It's not very loud, but it does add a bit of richness to the sound.

 

swap it out for some tangband subs form parts express if its not really that loud, they should do pretty good, but not to much canc ome from 6"s

it's a crossfire in a custom box. I would love to go bigger but there is no room behind the backseat of the 4 door ranger.

 

Hey Kyle, did you see the sub box part express built in the last mini-catalog thing?? It had 4 Tang band subs and a 500W BASH amp. Cool as hell.... They said it was "rumbling" ----- hell yes.

Also, JL has a new 6" sub but if you're looking for output, don't go with JL.

yeah, that's it... there are quite a few out on the market... I wonder if any mag has done a review on a couple of them...

 

But when going with a 6 inch your not ever going to get anything amazing. I think a 6x8 would be louder.

 

you are right i did not expect to get anything amazing but it is ok. I just wished the 4 door ranger had about another 2 inches behind the back seat, cause then i would have dropped in a pair of Kenwood 12's that I have.

 

unless its a 6x8 sub, a 6" sub will be better, because midwoofers arnt the best at reproducing bass

 

Yeah, any regular 6x8 will probably have a tuning frequency of about 50-60 hz. The 6" Tang Band subwoofers are at 35hz... much different

 

It's not their job to produce it in the first place. They just cover mid-range correct?
