Any wires going along the top of the Clutch Pedal, does the Pedal Arm contact with it ?

From there... disconnect what it is that you "REWIRED" you might locate the problem.

What YEAR Ranger?

Does the radio shut off or does it just MUTE?

Does the Clock lose its time?

Some later year Rangers did have a MUTE function in the radio, so YEAR is important

I have an after market deck and my lights will flick once then there good but the music turns off, as soon as I let the clutch out the music will come back on. The deck still has power and has time but I just lose all sound from it and it doesnt indicate that it's on mute

Sounds funny, the only switch that should be associated with the clutch is the starter safety switch... I think !
What associates with the starter and the radio ?

Do you have the OEM Radio ? Can you reinstall it and see if the same thing happens ?

If it does, that will eliminate the wiring in the truck !

The clock and pre-sets use a full time power source so you don't have to set the clock each time key is turned off and on

The amplifier/radio uses a separate power source that is controlled by key on/off

In a 2003 Ranger Fuse #28, 7.5amp, in cab fuse box is for the Radio, red/black stripe wire
Pull it out and see if Radio power is cut off, clock should work

If not then 3rd party radio is tapped into a different circuit

Fuse #6 is the deactivator switch on clutch pedal, it is used for cruise control and some other functions, if that wire was used then radio would lose power when clutch pedal was down, black/yellow stripe wire

Does the Radio have the Safety Switch to the Parking Brake for watching Videos ?
If it does, is it too close to the Clutch Pedal; shorting it maybe ?
