putting in door speakers

im putting in door speakers in my 96 ranger and want to know if its easy and if there is any pictures to help out with the install. thanks alot

Easiest thing to do is go and get some speaker adapter wires from Best Buy or Circuit City and hook them into your speakers, then they just plug right into the factory plug so that you can reverse it if need be in the future. Sorry, but I have no pics at this time, but it is pretty straight forward. Do a check for door panel removal and see if that turns up anything.

Hope this helps,

Chance

front door speakers are simple. Just have to remove the door panel and youre set... takes some finesse to get the panel back on but not to bad.

Get wiring adapters for sure, only 10$ or so for a pair.

Do you have power windows or crank?

Does anyone know what size our rear speakers are?

i did some research and it looks pretty easy. the most difficult thing i have to worry about it taking off the window crank lol

& thats wicked easy... believe it was a torx bit underneath that center cover. no sweat.

the chevy i used to have - that was tough... used a cotter pin-type arrangement to secure the crank

I cut my connectors off and just soldered in the new wires, it took a minute longer and I know I'm not losing any sound quality thru the adapter.

Its a Holiday! I just added new 6x8 Pioneers in the back of my truck last night. Should of looked here to be informed on the adapters. I too cut and sodered the wires. Looking for a 6x8 with know good base for the front doors. Than I'll have the deck installed I think. Can't wait. 1new thing at a time!
