Bought a line-driver today
#4
My headunit has 3 pairs of rca output - Front, Rear and Subs. I have 3 amps
1 - Blue Thunder PRO150X2
2 - Blue Thudner PRO150X2
3 - Alpine 75X4 4 channel
The Blue Thunder amps are each bridged to thier own sub, the 4ch runs my highs.
With a line driver I can take the 4v(peak) signal for the subs that I am currently splitting 2v(peak) to each sub amp and drive it all the way up to 13.4v(peak) for each amp.

You are comparing apples to oranges, sorta like me saying "look I am taller than michael jordan when I stand on my tippy toes and stretch my arms over my head"
7.5 is peak output, the rms on this is 9.5V, peak is 13.4V.

How is it apple to oranges? Both put out a signal that the amp reads. The signal line driver is just higher. And no your example is sh!tty.

Duh. I just stated what my head unit puts out. And by the way its 7.5v RMS not peak. Again both put out a signal that the amp reads. The signal from your equipment is just higher.
You have to get out of the "everything is inferior to what i own" mentality.

and what unit are you running? last i knew 5v was the highest. you dont need anymore that that unless you split signal more the 4 times. 2 times you dont need. watch ur amps like stated. most dont like to see over 6v. and hope you have NICE rcas or else this is a waste. i will spend more damn money on rcas that any other wiring.
