10" slim pioneer sub, anyone have one?

http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/.../10168009.aspx

This guy is on sale for $120 at my bestbuy, I'm happy enough with my stock sounding system, but a little extra bass beer hurts, and with my new head unit I have I figured I may as well add a small sub+amp to just give it a little extra boom.

So does anyone have this thing? Or heard it in person?

you could build you something nicer for half the price. Love the idea of a shallow mount 8" or 10" but the prices are crazy.

I've looked at those before. Seems like it would be a nice low profile way to get some bass. The box is the perfect size to fit on the floor in the back of a ranger and you'd still be able to use the jump seats.

Exactly what I was thinking!

And you are not gonna build a box an buy a sub for cheaper than $120 in Canada. Not a 10" anyways. And I am not attempting to build my own box. Been there done that, I ain't no carpenter.

Go for it, nothing to lose really. just have reasonable expectations for it and you will be happy.

If you read the reviews on the best buy website it sounds like people are pretty happy with it. Just need a good amp.

That looks like something I would be interested in in the future since it looks like it may already have its own power supply unless I am wrong.

Nope its not powered. Just a sub loaded in a box. You'd still need to get an amp.

Well that is still not bad and it doesn't suck up a bunch of power so a small amp is all that is needed!

I am going with a shallow Pioneer Sub w/pioneer amp but an aftr mrkt box.
The enclosure is tapered to fit behind my seat in a std cab but has the volume so the speaker can work a little.

These are not competition speaker but from past experience I find Pioneer to be good quality and for me they last.

I have this in my Ranger hooked up to a Pioneer GM-D7500M, 800 watt digital amplifier. It has outperformed my expectations. Fits nicely in the back of my extended cab and adds some serious bass to the system! Definitely sounds bigger than its size!
