Rage!

So the other day I spent 3 hours putting one of my old Alpine type S's in the door of my truck. (Yeah, I know shouldn't have taken me that long, but I lost light, my fingers were numb, and I suck at soldering. All of this is to find out my type S's are blown...

Now here's the problem. I had to cut the hiring harness that goes to the stock speaker. Is there a way I can rewire the harness on so I can hook the stock speakers back up?

Did you cut the factory harness so close that you can't just wire it back together? If you did, you could always go to a junk yard and yank a few out of a similar ranger... keep in mind that wire color changes throughout the years. Or if you just use the crimp connectors that is easiest...

what are they doing that causes you to believe this? just curious. I know I personally mistook a few speakers as being blown before.

X2, if your crossover settings and amp gain and such is not set right, they will sound like poo. Not long ago I installed some new Kenwood Excelon components, the mids sounded blown until I adjusted all my settings.
