Reg. Cab Systems?

Hey guys. I got the audio bug again. My two front Kicker speakers just arn't enough for me. So now I'm looking at getting a sub, MAYBE two, and attempt to stuff them behind the seats of my reg cab. Am I asking too much to fit two 12's? Perhaps two 10's?

Anyways, could you guys with regular cab's post pictures of your systems so I can get an idea of what I'm looking at? Thanks.

I'm too lazy to take pics right now but I put an amp behind my seat and ran wiring through a drain hole up to the hole in the bed and put 2 12"s in the bed. It's sad but it's noisy and that's important.

I have 2 10's and a "small" amp behind mine...

how about 2-ED6.5" subs ported? you could keep all your leg room and with 200 watts or so have these little monsters sound real nice. http://edesignaudio.com/product.php?cid=16&cur=USD

i'd go with a 10" ported sub... the box will have to be custom if you want it done right. forward fire it behind the passenger seat and vent it out towards the drivers side.

could always go the thunderform route. A single 10 that tucks nicely behind the drivers seat. Lemme know if you are think about it I can tell you all about them.

audiobahn makes these subs that are built to put behind seats. there called piston subs. supposed to hit pretty hard and only have a mounting depth of 4.5 inches for a 12. check em out http://cardiscountstereos.com/Images...og/AWP312T.jpg

'that silver thing' as you call it, is actually two amps....when I took the shot it reflected and kind of distorted what they were.

I say go with a small sealed box with a 10" and a class D memphis amp... Can't go wrong with that. What kind of Sub??? Not sure. You'll have to find one that can be put in a small sealed box and can handle at least 250W.... I'll be back in a couple minutes...

Alpine MRP-M350.....350Wx1ch. @ 2ohm

If that's not enough,

Hifonics TX1005D.....700Wx1ch. @ 2ohm

Here's the Memphis I was talkin' about--

Memphis 16-PRD500.1.....500Wx1ch. @ 1ohm

These are all RMS ratings

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's a couple "kinda low-profile" subs

Alphasonik PSW410 10".....5.5" Mounting Depth.....400WRMS Power Handling

Infinity Reference 1042W 10".....4.5" MD.....250-1000W PH....

From experience, an Infinity sub can handle as much as you can give it...

My friend Corey had 1500W on 2 Perfect 12.1s and they never missed a beat, never bounced the voice coil... They were some awesome subs, very hardcore.

i got 2 rockford punch 8s in seperate boxes and a 450watt hifonics amp.it sounds good inside the cab.

Mnemonic Feb 17, 2006 09:00 PM

Here's a blue print that may come in handy. It's made for one 10" sub, but could fit a shallow 12". Just duplicate and flip the design for 2 subs.
