they are alright. I had one in my old car, the one before my truck, and i my aunt got it as a birthday present for me. I think she got it for like 80 bucks at target, but it might have been the lower end model. The remote and SD/USB options are really sweet and I'd say get it if that's your price range. Just try Target first cause they might have it for cheaper.

If they held MP3's that would be a pretty good archive, lol. I have a 6 disc MP3 and it's a nice bunch of music.

Don't get that vr3... Don't get that sony... Stick with pioneer, alpine, kenwood... Sony is garbage.

As far as wiring you'll just need the factory to after market wiring harness.. usually like $10-20 and it converts your stock harness to be able to be matched up to an aftermarket stereo.

I was just about to add... Don't expect more than what you have now dude for $80... Honestly, If I were you... Keep you deck and get a FM Transmitter for your iPod or mp3 player and use that... That's gonna be your best bet... Since you're basically get it for the mp3 feature..

But the head unit i have is something else. i was suprised by it. its better than any headunit ive ever had. I guess at 500 bucks u get quality

Sony has never and never will make a quality deck. Alpine, Pioneer, and JVC all make awesome decks. My roommate works for a shop during the summer that does custom EVERYTHING on peoples cars with A LOT of money... Like Darius miles... He only puts the best of the best in peoples cars... Starting with Treo Engineering, Morell some Audiobahn, Zapco... For decks he sells JVCs, Pioneers, Alpines.. A few others, that I can't think of... Never once has he ever told me Sony was good, at any one point in their history of making Car audio... that's why you can buy it at circuit city.

That's better than that vr3 thing... If this one ***** on you, you can at least take it back and don't have to worry about shipping.
