Help on Choosing Subs for 00 Extended Cab

Keep in mind too the types of music you'll be listening to. That might help narrow down your search a little. If you're looking to build your own box for them, you can have a lot of options...if you're looking for a good sounding unit that's already built, you can try checking out a local audio shop or maybe looking into a powered sub. A friend of mine has one of the Infinity BassLink powered subs and it sounds amazing for what it is.

i have an mtx 10" shallow mount, it kicks pretty hard, and i think it sounds great, cost me about 250, plus i made a box for it, the box that they recommend fits almost perfectly under the jump seat, and it doesn't move around at all, i made mine slightly shorter than they recommend though

im gettin 2 10" rockford fosgate P3 shallow mounts to go under the back seat downfiring. gettin them on ebay for 115 ea with free shipping. in store they are 200+. i would stay away from the MTX as mentioned above. they are good subs but they are way overpriced for what they are. stay away from kicker as well, they are really loud but the sound quality is **** untill you get into the really nice and expensive subs. i would stick with the alpines, JL audio, JBL, or rockford. and i wouldnt put anything bigger than 10s in a truck that small. even in an f150 i wouldnt go bigger than a 10. ive talked to many people and shops and they all reccomended 10s for a truck. they said the sound is so much better and more crisp bc the small amount of room you have to work with. but you never know since there isnt much to the back part in the rangers

2nd that is the dumbest thing ive heard, whoever said that u shouldnt put anything bigger than a 10 in a ranger is a IDIOT. i had a 15" RE SX in my ranger and im planning on going to 2 18s walled. plenty of people run bigger stuff and multiple subs in rangers.
