i just stuck 4 infinity Reference 6822s (5x8) in my ranger and they sound great. i listen to metal rock and rap and perform great.

I would recommend getting a small sub also, as when you turn it up you get really bad sound distortion from too much bass. so having a sub, then turning the bass down on the speaker would sound much better.

i get to see them in 2 months.

Anyway the Kappas would sound great, since most are component systems.

But if you crank it get a sub, without question.

I have some 5 year old Pioneer 3 way speakers all around. They sound good playing whatever but I have little to no bass going to them. All the bass goes to the sub and that is what get you the great sound you are looking for. Good component speakers will give you more clarity of your music but they will not really bump like a sub. Just get a sub and cut the bass to the door speakers so you don't blow them out.

As far as the speakers, I would go with Infinity Reference with the component speakers in the front, and a Rockford Fosgate sub as well. Just my opinion though.
