sound dampening

After doing some research I found a bunch of stuff on the fatmat/peel and stick stuff I ran to Lowes and picked up the smaller roll of peel and stick and hoped for the best. It's a lot like the dynamat but is obvously made of the cheaper asfault blah blah blah.

Anyways everyone has said it doesn't work well or at all and it a waste of money. Or that is works but not very well. All i can say is that for the money it is working quite well and I'm just happy with it being not that great but it is a HUGE improvement in sound quality out of the speakers and much less road noise. So for the $15 I spent it was a good deal.

So if anyone is looking for some cheap sound deadening I would say go for it.

Try double layering it. Not sure how that would work, but it may make it less noisy as far as road noise goes.

Well I have a lot of other areas to cover before I start worrying about double layering. This was more to improve mid-bass which is did quite well.

I think next I'm going to get 50^ or so of edead (byutal) or the damplifier and put that all over the foor and roof as those are the weak points as far as road noise goes.

I need to do alot of sound dampening in my truck. I been looking around at different stuff and kinda like the price of yours. Got any pics of where you put it on your truck? Im mainly thinking of the back wall and door panels on mine.

I just did the door panels. But i cut out a 1/4" sheet of abs to fit over the bigger hole in the door and other to fit over the vent which I took out. Then just put the deadner over those.

Sounds about like what I was planning on doing.
