Speaker Question

i am looking to replace my factory speakers and i see 2,3,4 way speakers what is the difference and what do i need thanks in advance because i have no cluw what the difference is

That is basically saying how many drivers per speaker. So a two way speaker would be a woofer and a tweeter. The tweeter handles the highs and the woofer handles the mids and lows. A three way has a woofer, tweeter and a midrange. A four way usually has two tweeters but I think that is overkill.

fddriver02 is 100% on key.

Look at high end co-ax's. I doubt you will find many 3 or 4 ways.

On some three way speakers, there is no midrange, there is a woofer, tweeter and a super tweeter. Pioneer three ways are like this I beleive. Four way is overkill.
