Shipping a factory head unit
I thought I read on here a while back that you needed to put the factory head unit into "ship mode" before shipping or it would damage the unit. is this true?

If it is a 6-disc changer yes you do. I bought one form someone on here and he put it in the ship mode, but as soon as it is installed in its new home it works.
