are you looking for suggestions.. or do you know what you're goin after?

also, the amp.. are you going for a 5 channel.. or are you only powering the subs.. if so, why 700+ watts @ 2ohms?

okay ive made some decisions with the help of Sean

headunit: Alpine CDA-9851
Speakers: Mb Quart Reference 6.5" Components (front) and im still looking for a decent set of speakers for the back that, not great ones b/c drowned out by subs
Subs: JL Audio, two 10" W0's

all i need now is help with the amplifiers, quite possible the most confusing concept to me since tying my shoes. for the speakers i think im going to go with a 400w x 4-channel class ab, and as for the subs i have no idea (all i know is i need a class d)
i saw some JL 500w x 5-channel amplifiers for around $600, but im looking to see if i have anymore options for the amp area.. anything and everything would be great

For the sub, just find an amp that puts out about 250 to 300 watts @ 2 ohms. Should be easy to find.

Something like this may be the ticket:

Well what I would do is take your buget for the front and back speakers and combine it and pick up somne componets. I don't run the back speakers at all the stock ones just a little to fill out the sound. JL amps are quite pricy.

i am getting the MBq components already..

ive decided to change my mind on the amps and go with Phoenix Gold Octane's
800w max 4-channel, with 125w x 4 to each speaker
400w max 4-channel, with 125w x 2 to each sub

See now that is where the ability to read comes in handy. And it was a big word too. Its not like it was hard to see. Well yea.

Hey this is just my opinion but,

When I got my system, a nice headunit and some big subs, I really wished instead of getting subs that i just made a really nice 4 speaker system. I didn't have the "volume" of music i just had the hard hitting bass. Hard bass is pimp, but I couldn't pop my doors open and hear my truck froma huge distance. About 400 yards away was the max you could hear subs, and 200 yards was distance of music. I wish i got some components and some door speakers that had good base.

400 yards away? Oh never mind, it's late at night and someone's hitting the sauce...

Haha shutup! It was at the beach, and it was relatively quiet. I could hear the subs bumpin from way away, when i had to takea load of firewood to our fire. Not like the ground was shakin, icould jus hear them.

*edit* i hit the sauce on the weekends, not weekdays!

okay then decided to go with JL amps instead, a 250/1 D for the subs and a 300x4 for the speakers

im sticking with the MBquart Components, the Alpine CDA-9851 and the subs..
