Please Help :(

Ok so yesterday i bought a new cd player for my truck, i have a 2003 with the tremor package, which includes a pioneer 10 inch sub and pioneer door speakers, and a different head unit. so i bought the cd player, the dash kit, and the wiring harness. BUT im not sure if its the same on all rangers or just the tremors but theres another plug that did plug into the back of the stock cd player, and theres not a spot for it on the new one. and it contols the amp and the front speakers, so all i have is rear speakers.i went up to best buy and they have no idea why it has the extra plug. has anyone else encounterd this? Any help would be awesome.

I would go to a real store such as "_____ audio video" store that specializes. What im assuming is your old player was built with sounds outs for the rear speakers AND the front speakers. Well most likely your cd player you bought has the ability to have sound outs for both, A set needs to run to the front amp(to control speakers/sub) AND then the rear speakers.

There's some whiz guys who know better tho.

Ehh i bet its not that hard. You can probably tell em the cd player didnt work in your vehicle or something. Hopefully another Tremor owner can post either what he did to make it work OR what cd player he has.

The tremor system only works with the Tremor CD player. Ford has it in there that way. Blktremor02 has tried in the past to change it but no good. You cant change anything in the tremor system. If your going aftermarket your going to have to get an aftermarket sub/amp combo and new door speakers. Because the front speakers are powered on when the sub goes on. The tremor system will not work with aftermarket, your going to have to re-do everything. Sorry!

bingo. its pretty much no got with the tremor. the piont of the tremor was you bought it so you didnt have to put in new audio it comes with it stock with the "bumps and hot shiz speakers" but to go aftermarket mean removing everything that is stock...

i have a tremor...and i know that you cant change the sub and amp stuff ford made it inpossible so im guessing they might do that to the head unit to or you might go a by a pioneer head unit cause it might be a strictly pioneer thing..

What type of wiring harness did you buy? Was it the one that came with the CD player? With the "premium" stock systems there should be 3 plugs or so. You can get a cheap wiring harness adapter from wally world (scoshe brand) That is made to connect from the stock wiring harness, that wired to your aftermarkets harness.

Since I didn't really understand the "I bought a wiring harness" So I dunno if you bought one of those yet or what??

Yes they come in two types. "regular adaptor" And the "Premium adaptor" The regular just has one plug like you said. But the premium will come with 3 or 4 plugs that you have to connect. Wal-mart has them for real cheap and I suggest you get them from there, thats were I got mine :) Also make sure you look on the back of the package to make sure you get the right one cuz it will give you a list of what make and year of the truck. But make sure you get the "Premium" wiring adaptor.

The Tremor uses the same style of plug as the premium, but the wires are not the same, and theres no easy way to wire a new headunit into a Tremor.

you can change it i have done it when my brother had that set up in his ranger...you have to go to the dealer ship and get a wire guide and wire it up differnt and kinda make your own wireing harness....IT CAN BE DONE....there might be a after market company or even fod that had a harnes that switches every thing around to work now...dont give up on it...

Even tho I would never choose a car/truck for the "preium" system....thats just a joke...tot he exception to the dynaudio packages that come on the VW's..ect... but anything pioneer/infity/jbl/ isn't great at all.

therws absolutley no market for it, 9 out of 10 people that purchase a Tremor bought it for the sound system I dont know the numbers on how many tremors were made but I can't see any company thinking they wouod make a profit off that.

Do Like Quest says though, running wires is easy no matter what skill level you are
