2 10's is too much!

I have 2 Kicker Solo L7's.
And a full system pumping out a **** loud of power.
Nothing is underpowered.
Yet I feel I have too much bass.
I turned the amps down, yet still too much bass.
So I think I am gonna make a custom fiberglass single amp box this weekend.

But anyways.
Anyone else have the problem of too much bass?
Or am I just a pu$$y?
Well let me know what you think.

another option, besides downsizing to one sub, would be to add a bass gain controller to your sub's preouts. i've got one and use it all the time. when i listen to Howard Stern in the morning, i almost turn the bass completely off because his voice is soo deep. in the afternoon, when i'm listening to music... depending on what it is, i'll turn the gain up a little bit.

don't listen to anyone that calls you a pu$$y

if you decide on your own that the bass is too loud, then mother nature is doing you a favor of warning you before permanent hearing damage is done

It kinda depends what he's listening to too. Too much bass is just as bad as not enough.

Are you still running the factory door speakers? replacing those with some two or three ways might help. I'm running pioneer three ways in my doors and it made a HUGE difference. I agree, too much bass sounds bad. I like having that second row seats sound but again, it depends on what you're listening to.

when i had my L5, it was too much bass....all i listen to is country so i dont need a lot of bass but i do need some.....So now i am going to a 8" Kicker CVR and the factory Pioneer 6" sub in the center console.....that will be enough for me!

Yea that should sound pretty killer.

I love country but listen to classic rock mostly. Nothing like hearing Free Bird on a well tuned system WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

But a little "Get Drunk and Be Somebody" is nice too lol

haha, never too much...

when you start having hearing problems...maybe it's too much...but for my type of loud...theres never too much bass as long as the rest of the music matches it.

Which is hard to get, usually there is a trebble drop off when the bass gets up to high levels.

I know on my piooneer it was level 18, the bass was at the clearest (distortion wise). Well, at 18, you can't hear any trebble...solution...gain the amp for the highs!!! Make 18 the loudest volume you will ever play.

I was killing people with volume 8 and 9...they would be like, "how many more clicks do you have" I'd say oh, roughly 40...and they would die. Not knowing that 18 is my max.....muhahahmuahahaha

End of story.

yea the 8" is going were 1 of my jump seats is.....since mine come out of the side i should have plenty of room to build a box in there....going to mount it's amp on the back wall and put a fan behind it......

the only thing is i can't decide if i want the cone of the sub facing inside the cab or facing out of the cab w/ plexy glass behind it so you can see the magnet that have LED's shining on it...

I have one 10", with a transmission line/ bass reflex hybrid box, and I can turn it beyond "too much bass", my ears don't like that for more than a few seconds though before they start to sting and tingle.

My head unit goes to,... well I guess I've never turned the volume completely up, I think it goes to 35 and I can't turn it past 15 for daily driving, I usually listen to it at 12 or 13.

600 watts rms to an FI SSD10. I'll post some pics of the box later, got to go back to work right now.

Edit: Here's the pics of the box, I have no install pics as I haven't carpeted or built a suitable permanant base for the box yet:
