sub question..
i notcied today, when i was listening to Unk's "Walk it out", that when I opened the door to my truck the bass hit a LOT harder, same went for when i tried rolling down the windows. Is there a dynamic behind this? Is it because the air has nowhere to go when the cab is sealed?

yea ive had my bass on pretty loud, and open the door to get out and then got like twice as loud, i used to leave my windows down for that reason but after my rearview mirror rattled off i turned down the bass a lil =)

I noticed the same thing. When mine is in a building, and the radio is turned up, you can hear the bass like 20-30 feet away, but when its outside, you can't really hear it outside the truck. I recently made a new box, and increased its size from .66 to 1.0 airspace (which is max for sealed box with the kicker l5), and it was amazing how much deeper it made the bass. The sub is on the passenger side now, but it feels like its right behind you.
i need to get sum pics of my boxes that i made, its not quite 1ft airspace but i got 2 behind the seats, hell with the radio HU on about half volume and the bass control at about 2/3s you get a massage with rock music lol
