Audio system now complete!
I had an Amp and Subwoofer hooked up yesterday, and the sound is now AMAZING!!
Why I waited this long to do this I dont know, but glad I have a system now that just rocks.
Here is my complete system
(1) Pioneer DEH-P3800 CD/MP3/Sirius Ready In-Dash Receiver
(1) Pioneer SIR-PNR2 Sirius sattelite radio tuner
(1) Pioneer PIO-CD1200 iPod Direct Cable
(4) Pioneer TS-A5713 5x7"
-- had all above installed 3 years ago
(1) Kenwood KAC-5203 2 Ch 350 Watt Power Amplifier
(1) Kenwood KFC-W2511 1000w Subwoofer
-- Had this installed the other day
My neighbor who is stereo enthusiast, and has his Acura TL decked out with about $5k of electronics ,said its one of the best sounds he has heard in a truck like mine.
I think I did things right building system up as I could afford to, with the right parts and professional installation.
We were able to install the amp in the sidewall of the truck behind the jumpseat behind the driver. I have the box sitting behind the center console in the rear, and keep it covered with the rear vanity pull over.
The 5x7's I installed a couple of years ago, and put the stock ranger speaker covers over them.
Pretty much a "stealth" type system that would be crooks I would think for the most part would just keep walking assuming there is not much worth in there to take. (In reality, they could take the deck, and the sub, but those are the easiest things to replace, and not too expensive really).
Guys that installed the amp did a great job wiring, and spend a good hour just tuning the system right for me. I can adjust the gain from the deck and not worry about blowing up the sub, the way they got it all set up.
Its like listening to all my fav music, for the very first time again.
