i run the same little cobra, my friend tweaked it a little for me. it's not much for a radio as far as hanging with the "big dogs". But it gets the job done out on the trails.

+ i'm rockin' a pa behind the grille

i usually either just listen in on 19, or leave it off unless im riding with people.

haha nice! thats the exact thing im gonna do. puttin it in that spot. then running a PA for sure

thats the biggest reason i want it. my friend was trying to sell me an older one he never used, but no PA. the PA sounds fun. he was gonna sell me the older one for 30. but why bother when i can run to summit today and get the newer cobra for 50

Nah my mount is on the fender between the fender and hood. Coax runs up from the fender, through the firewall, up the a-pillar and in the headliner to the cb. It's really easy to run.

Technically I didn't. The guy before me did and took out his CB but left the mount up there for me.

We did shane's though. Some 1.5in self tapping screws I think... Don't quote me though. You can drill straight up and not hit anything, given you drill in the right place. He has a thread somewhere about it... Lemme see if I can find it

Let me highjack this for a moment. What antenna is the best for the money. I have always ran the cheap ones for the rigs because we are always so close, but now I want the best for my truck...what do I need?

Get the hood ones. From the local CB shops, they say anything that doesn't mount to either the mirros or front fenders is junk.

Here's the hole Shane cut in his headliner for the OHC and then installed his CB instead in that spot:

I loved my PA. Whats really fun is when someone orders in front of you at the drive through when they finish, start ordering more stuff for them. Haha good times
