I'm buying this receiver in a few weeks Kenwood KIV-700 Digital media receiver at Crutchfield.com

I noticed it had an AUX input. Well thanks to Korey I'm very interested in a rear view camera, but don't want to shell out the dough (cause I don't have it) for a double din.

Would I be able to add a back up camera using the AUX input and just switch to it when I want to look behind me?

This is prolly a dumb question, but I'm still not great with wiring.

 

Is it a aux video input or aux audio input?

 

Under AUX input it says "R and R" no idea what it means

 

It says it has 1 A/V input. If it really does I'm sure it would work. Just wire the camera to have power whenever the truck is on.

 

Sweet, even though it's a tiny screen I might just get one

Just got off the phone with Crutchfield, the receiver only does video through the ipod. It doesn't accept a video input through the AUX input.

Oh well

 

Bummer! I want to get one of the new f150 mirrors and just use that for a rearview camera monitor but don't want to pay 250 bucks for it lol

 

I hear ya, I guess I'm just gonna have to get better at judging distances lol
