Lost mid range bass on my sub

About a month ago I noticed I lost my mid range bass. Basicly if I was listening to a rock band I would still get the drums fine, but the bass guitar is missing. My question is. Is it possible to partially blow a sub or could it be amp related?

if u have ur amp on the low pass filter (LPF) setting then there shouldnt be any mids coming out of ur sub. the lows from a Bass guitar should come out of ur sub just like bass drums, check ur amp and see if it accidentally got switched to the HPF setting. if not then im not sure my self

Amp doesn't have any kind of switch like that. Its a really cheap amp. When it went out nothing or no one had touched it. I can definitely hear a quality difference.
