In your normal coaxial door speaker, the tweeter is mounted in the middle of the woofer. By using a component system and moving the tweeter to a different location, you can not only optimize the sound from the tweeter via a new location, but you also remove the interference of the sound waves from the woofer and the tweeter when they are mounted together.
Also, you can feed more power to each woofer and tweeter when they are seperate. More power = better sound.

Ok, I'm going to go ahead and do it, but now I'm still a lil confused, how many do i need? I'm going to replace all 4 doors, so does that mean 4? or do they come in sets of 2? and where do you recomend the tweets to be located, some of you said higher than my leg, which makes sense? but please help
