Trying to figure it out
I want to build a box for my truck but like i dont even know where to start... I looked at most of the pix in the forums but their all extended/super cab. I just got a reg. I'd like something for two 10's but i dont know if its possible.
Any Idears? |
theres not much room to play with in our reg cabs. Your local audio store should have a book with pics of boxes in regular cabs, i'd say try and duplicate one of those designs

2 tens are do-able but it will defiately be tight. If your regular speakers are mounted on the rear cab wall like our '02, build a box that looks like the 10 inch Ranger subs offered on e-bay.

personally i think its over kill just one 10 will get you alot of bass heck 2 8's powered and EQ'ed right should sound right. unless your going for "I want my ear drums to bleed"

Michael made a custom box for his reg cab when he had it, for a 12" which is more than enough in a reg cab, his sounded NICE!!
Im sure once he sees this, he will respond, if not pm him. Mnemonic |

Yeah, powered right those thunderforms sound really nice. I was more than happy with it until I got a supercab.

Why 2?
How much money do you have to spend on the sub/amp? |
they also have component kick plate ? enclosures

I don't like those kick plates at all. The e-brake is not able to be set all the way. Plus you will get better bass with a real sub than components. But if your just looking for fuller sound, components could be the answer your looking for.

Guess they would be alright for us auto guys who never use it, unless I'm stting in gridlock. How are the imaging and staging with those? are they alot better than stock locations?
|
What kind of subs are you putting in? 2 10s is alot for a reg cab
