Adding iPod to a single-CD factory HU

I recently bought a 2007 Ranger XLT with a factory head unit - single CD player, non-Pioneer. I installed aftermarket Sirius in my 2005 Accord, so installation isn't going to be a problem for me...it's just knowing what option is best.

I want to install some kind of hardwired iPod connectivity. I thought about a hardwired FM modulator - maybe an iSimple IS77. But how easy is it to bypass the antenna? In the Accord, the connections were easy to get to. Not sure about doing that in this Ranger. Also, I'm worried that by the time I buy the IS77 and do the work to make it look great, I might be better off just buying a new head unit. What are your recommendations?

So no surprises, then. This method worked well before, so I'm going for it again now. Thanks!
