My old box was like that. I had to site as close to the steering wheel as possible, thats why i went with a wall. The total depth on the outside is 12.75 inches so i can still lean my seat back and the box is bigger than my other box.

07Ranger, the box is like 7.5 cubic ft tuned to 39Hz.

Well guys, i got some bad news. Apparently my dumb*** self cant measure. LOL When i measured, i didnt think of measuring the width of the top half of the inside of the truck. Well the box was 51" wide and when i put it in 2nite, it was way too wide, so i took it out, and cut it down to 49" wide. I was hoping to get it in tontie, but i will get it in tomorrow. The box was 7.5 cubic ft tuned to 39.6 Hz but now it is 7.1 cubic ft tuned to 40.3 Hz.

nice ****ing box! i have done the miss measure thing built a sick box and amp rack went to slide it in and broke it hammering it in. you could always pull the face off and redo the port. that would be hard to do but i have done it. just run it on the table saw.

Should have made it a pentagon shape, or built it inside the truck. Real walls dont move. XD

Now for the results, i put the speakers in and got it hooked up, turned it on, and the amp came on but the subs didnt. Well i called some of my friends but they didnt know anything. Well come to find out, i put a negative speaker wire in the postive slot. HA simple but stupid mistake. After that, i got them working and turned them up. They are loud. My problem is that my songs hit lower notes, but the songs that the higher notes pounded. The higher notes are way louder than with my other box.

Bigger boxes like lower frequencies. Lower tuning likes lower frequencies also. When you port a subwoofer you often limit its range substantially.

Just add some serious midbass drivers to your kick panels or under your seats. Real subwoofers dont play over 50Hz, anyway. lol

It looks good! keep us updated.
