Ground
I have a 06 ext. cab. I am adding my subs to it. I ran all the wires but the ground for the amp.
I was looking for a while last nite and didn't really see anywhere that had a good ground.
Any ideas?
Also, in the process of looking for the ground, i pulled the back plastic panel off, right below the back window. Now i cant seem to get it back in, the 3 clips if you would call them, are being a pain to get back in.

on a reg cab.....no clue. I have mind grounded to the cab floor in my excab. My little brothers reg cab, we just went through the firewall and grounded it in the endigne compartment.
Why not try the seat bolts?? Throw a ring terminal on your ground cable, and sandwich it between the seat bracket and the floor...with the seat bolt running through it all. That should be a good ground.

your ground should be as short as possible, so i don't recommend running it all the way back to the battery. a longer ground will invite the risk of unwanted issues (noise) as it passes through the various parts of the truck.
i've always had good luck with using something that might be bolting the seatbelt to to floor (seatbelt bracket?).... or maybe one of the seat's bolts itself. just remember to prep the area as best as possible so that it has a good clean contact with metal. don't just loosen the bolt, slide the wire in, and tighten it back down... take a moment to clean the metal, etc..
