My brother has the Cobra and my friend has the Uniden.

They are both really nice but I think Cobra makes a better radio. I mean they are the king of CB's...

I have a Cobra 29LTD Chrome and its pretty bad ***.

I have a Cobra 29 Night Watch with NWS weather radio and I love it!

whichever one you go with, make sure you get it peaked and tuned by a CB radio shop... I just did this to mine and it makes a HUGE difference! i am now able to send and recieve about 10 miles away. Previously, It was 5 miles at best.

Oh yeah, get a new mic too. i have Shure mic and it sounds so much better than the stock Cobra junk.

I thought Uniden and Cobra are both the same thing? Any who if you don't mind ordering it off line Right Channel radios can peak tune your cb radio.

I have the $30 Cobra you can pick up at Walmart.. Works just fine for the trails.. if you want to use it for much more than that i wouldn't recommend it. haha

^^I agree with Matt. But...you really can never go wrong with a 29. I've got the 29LTDBC(black chrome) edition that's been peaked and tuned and i'm thinking about adding one of those 'blip' things that sound after i transmit. I like rolling down the freeway when bored from music and just listen.

It's pretty cool talking to lost truck drivers too. helpin' them out and stuff. lol.

I've been having a lot of bad luck with Cobra recently. Not sure why, cause I'm a big fan lol Just little stuff like ***** shorting out and LED's going out on the display. weird.

Only problem I've had with mine is constant on again off again issues with the SWR meter. My shop(D&R Communications) has played with it 3 times in the past year...they said next time they'll just replace the entire meter.
