What is wrong?

Ok I have a pioneer DEH-P2600 all four speakers run straight to that. I have my amp that goes to my sub. I just put my sub in, and connected the amp to my deck. And I am getting some bass, but manly music out of my sub? Is there something that I am missing in my deck that I need to turn on or off so it wont send music through there. Or is my deck just not able to do that? Idk if this is true, but someone told me that I dont have any sub outs from my head unit? Idk, well thanks.

you should have 2 wires running from your headunit to your amp, i cant think of the names but if you have two running from the hu to amp you have all the right connections...

you should be good as far as connections go... is your amp big enough to power the sub?

There's a control on your sub. It is like. "low bandpass" or something. What it does is blocks out music from playing on your subwoofer. find hte swtich on top of your amp and switch it.

Ya I have a kicker zr 120, and right now a 10" mtx T4510-04.

sub:
35 - 150Hz
RMS Power 225

That amp can power that sub easy.

I have no controls on my sub, as I posted in my other thread that nobody posted on. I have a memory card in mine?? And just gain, that is it. I cant do anything else

120 watt bridged? I'm running a 550 watt amp for my two 10s. To me it seems underpowered but online the kickers get good reviews. Are you sure your headunit hs the bass turned up? Mine has controls, -6 to +6. -6 is nothing, 0 is great, 6 is crazy bass. If you dont know how to control your bass controls either its a button on the front or you click your volume wheel in.

Oh and I'd assume your kicker amp is 120 watts max. That means your 225 watts max subwoofer is underpowered.

Grab the user manuals to your audio stuff and figure it out. It shouldb e your headunit if your sub is pushin other ppls subs. Try putting someone elses amp into your truck, OR somene elses subs.

I have tried my whole system, my amp and sub on someone else head unit. And it was all bass, nice clean bass. But theres on mine, same thing that I am getting. We tried that, so that is why I am like. ERG!!!

I think that I am going to get this head unit:

Pretty sweet man, I bet you might be able to find a better price though. I've never used alpine but most people love em.

That's what problem i am having. A buddy of mine gave me his 2 12" subs and amp. It sounds great in his car but in my truck i am getting alot of audio through the subs and they don't sound great. This is also without an enclosure.
