Will 6x9s fit here? (Pic inside)
 

I was thinking if 6x9s would fit in place of the plastic grille that holds the 5x7s in my picture, but im not sure if the bottom part would clear the floor? Has anyone done this before or know it its possible? Thanks in advance!

you can make a plate out of MDF and carpet it to match then screw it into the panel.
