geeze.....for the price, i really like my Pioneer DEH-P6800MP.....from the specs, the pioneer is better, and you know how easy a Pioneer is to use and what kind of workmanship they have in them....

i bought it from cruchfield last month for 299.99. I love it. lots of options with it. it has built in high and low pass crossovers, the cd plaler has never skipped and got to love the 50 watts RMS. dont care for the color screen

I have an older version of this. i think it's like the 7700 or something. it is awesome. i am not much a panasonic fan. i stick with the pro's...pioneer, alpine, kenwood, and i guess jvc. My first receiver was a Kenwood and it rocked. My top two brands are Pioneer and Kenwood. my system that i am installing tomorrow is all kicker with that^^ receiver.

i almost bought an Alpine, i forgot the model, but this had more features and power. I have had good luck with Panasonic. I had a Kenwood Excelon that liked to over heat

x2

My panasonic Hu is the best hu ive had by far... and ive had quite a few lol

i actually had to warranty my pioneer deh-4800mp about a month or so ago because of the preouts having static all of a sudden, otherwise no complaints, but this is the only deck ive owned so i cant really compare it to others

well, hopefully i won't have any problems with mine when i put my system in. i haven't had any problems with it yet but we'll see. my sister has a panasonic receiver with a kicker system and it is badass. not sure what model she has but she has a single 15" and kicker amp. sound quality is pretty good. after hearing her system, i would get a panasonic. good luck

I'd say go with Kenwood, just my own opinion. I have had the same head unit in both of my ranger's been through a major accident and still never had a problem. Could be b/c I bought it from Crutchfield 3 years ago and they never sent me the $300+ bill, lol.

Well my Panasonic just gave out on me tonight, about 2 weeks after my 1-year warranty, god damn piece of ****, last time I buy any of their ****. Go with Pionner, Alpine, Kenwood (good experiences with Kenwood) or something quality along those lines. Now I know it's worth the money/time to spend extra money to get something good to get something that is known and worth it.

God I hate Panasonic, the first really cold day (-18, yeah that's it) and the deck kicks the pail, Panasonic = piece of worthless crap.

EDIT - I'm not hard on my deck, everyone I know knows I'm extremely easy on everything I own and maintain it so when stuff like this happens it pisses me off, ALOT.
