The emblems are deteriorating in that the Blue background is getting wavy and discolored. Or maybe this is the way they came...tie dyed...?
But if not factory, can they be easily restored or is there a source for "new" ones or used ones?

Unfortunately, the factory emblems used on 2006-2011 Rangers are pretty much junk. Replacing them only lasts a few years and then the replacements fail as well.
I opted to replace mine with a better version, from a 2009-2014 F150. Same dimensions, they mount the same way, but the emblem is molded in the dark blue color rather than painted so it won't fade like the older versions do.
Ford part number is AA8Z-9942528-A.

There's no screws, they usually just use locating pins and sticky emblem tape. The new one will have the same. To get the old one off, you can use a heat gun and a thin fishing line for the best results, but the fishing line itself will work too. I think I used an eraser wheel to clean up the remaining old emblem tape but you can use your choice of adhesive remover as long as it doesn't affect painted surfaces.
