Leave your truck out in the sun on a hot day then put really hot soapy water on it. This should help soften it up and get it off, depending on how much is there.

This works for me when I get a mist of sap on my truck.

wd-40 has worked for me a couple times, because i live under some wicked trees (without a garage) it works good as long as it hasn't been sitting for too long. dont let the sap sit too long because it will darken your paint job on that one spot, it happened on a couple occasions on my old car.

try lighter fluid, not the butane lighter fluid though. It works great at removing tar, just needs a little elbw grease.

They sell Bug and Tar (and sap) removers for auto detailing. Realize though that sap will completely remove your entire clearcoat if left on. You may just be looking at the spot it removed your clearcoat from...

Goof-Off is a nice product too, I use it for cleaning everything, not sure if the clear coat would like it. I got a spot off my truck, I don't know what the spot was though.

sad *** sap

I worked on a job this summer and i parked under a pine tree thinking the tree would give my truck some shade, but after a few days i noticed sap all over my truck. This stuff sticks like **** to a blanket but i found one thing that works well and does not damage your paint or strip the wax off your truck its called, bug & tag & tress sap remover, made by turtle wax and its about $4 a tin which lasts forever.

All I use is Mist and Shine made by wizards, other quick detailer may work with a muti fiber towel. It comes right off for me with no problems.
