Has anyone ever taken out the carpet, scrubbed it good with a cleaner and used a pressure washer to rinse? New carpet is $275. If I could get old looking 3/4 better I’d be happy. Thoughts?
I'm in that process, but instead of washing it myself, I send it to a local car wash to do it, I don't expect to restore it to brand new because is 25 years old, but when I get it back well see if it was worth it.

please let me know the results. It’s a lot of work if only a small return.
No pics before sorry, the carpet is way better that how it was, but still there are some stains that didn't come out, but for its age I'm fine with that.
The true benefit of this process was to remove the carpet and panels, it was incredible all the crap that was there accumulated over the years and previous owners, so the truly benefit was a much more deep cleaning that just the carpet.
Looks great to me. I don’t own a show truck. Just trying to have a good looking 32!year old truck. Looks like I have a weekend project. One thing I’d like to know too, how does the carpet fit back? Any wrinkles? Did go back easy as came out?
Anko, curios what you used for a cleaning solution and if you did anything to attack the spots?
Swampsauce, while I haven’t done this yet and very well may give it a shot, I think when putting the carpet back, I’d out the seats and belts in, the. Stretch best as I can to get it to the edges. Also a good time to add some sound deadening
Yeah, you can do that. I would suggest to disconnect the negative on the battery. Because you would have to disconnect the sensors under the seat.
Then go ahead take ou the carpet, pretty easy but it takes time though. You can use any all purpose cleaner with a good scrub, (brush should be soft). The just pressure wash it, then dry.
I plan on doing this soon. My goal is to first hit it with club soda to permeate the states and lift them. I will spray it after it sits for about 15 minutes. If there are any stains leftover I will hit them with Spot Shot carpet stain. I will let that sit for about 15 minutes and then spray it again. I will let it dry in the sun possibly or just outside away from other moist things. Once it is dry I will put it back in. If you want to know anything about the process or want me to try anything let me know ahead of time. Should be getting to this next week.
I pulled mine, scrubbed in a baking soda paste to the really bad spots, used a commercial carpet cleaner hand scrubbed into the whole carpet and then pressure washed it clean. Jute back was completely shot. Either missing in places or just caked into a hard mass so I just pulled it off. That said, mine is not going back in very well. And still has very noticeable stains. So I am now considering replacing the carpet, especially since I would like a black interior.
