I used to live in a house that had hard water, and I used some Meguire's Quick Wax on it and they were mostly gone...

If it's a black truck, then don't worry about it... it'll be covered in dirt or pollen in 20 minutes.

"white spots" is a pretty vague description... could you take a picture? would it even show up in a picture?

I am willing to bet they are water spots, the best way to get rid of them is to not get them in the first place, for that I recomed the dri wash n guard ultra ion i sell.

It is a waterless cleaner / sealer, so you can wash and wax in one step.

Also there are several users on here that use the products, just make a post and see what they have to say as well
