Cleaning a egg off my truck
So I’m in high school and some of my buddies that drive diesel and joke with me about having a ranger egged my truck and I got most of it off but some dried. How would you get it off?

All kinds of stuff out there, but try spraying some WD 40 on the dried areas, and let it soak for awhile. Should soften it up so you can wipe it off. WD 40 won't hurt paint or plastic or glass. Will just remove any wax .

Ok thanks

If that dosen't work, get a bucket and use a solution of half water and half white distilled vinegar. Make up about a quart or so.
Spray it on or soak a clean terry cloth like a hand cloth in it and lay it over the dried egg...OUT OF SUN. Let it sit till egg becomes soft and wipe it off. |
Ok

My thought was to make them clean it off....but I digress. I've had to do the vinegar/water solution thing on a friends car and it worked well on the "1970's paint" at the time on his Vega.

Yea I thought about making them clean it but I knew they were just making fun of all that horsepower my ranger has over their 7.3’s :)

We aren't here to pick on the guy or his choice of friends. Grumpaw answered the question, and that was all that was needed.

Actually, my apologies for getting this thread steered in a non-positive direction. I should have kept my opinion to myself and concentrated on what the OP was asking for in his need for assistance.
I hope the egg issue comes to a good solution. If the vinegar water doesn't work well, like grundpa mentioned, try WD40. |
Egg can take paint off a car so whatever you decide to use do it fast.
