how do I clean my exhaust

I spent lots of hours today cleaning the under of my truck and spraying it...but my exhaust looks like crap....is there a way to get the rust off and make it shinny or something?

if its not chrome, you could try Castrol Super Clean. Its a little more potent then Simple Green but will mark up aluminum and chrome if you leave it too long. It might help the exhaust though....you might need to do a little scrubbing work.

My whole exhaust is orange from the dirt road I live down... I can't do anything about it... The tailpipe has been "sand blasted" a little, but it still looks like crap

Yeah, well I keep my tips in a climate controlled hyperbaric Chamber! It keep the tips Clean and fresh smeeling.

No seriously, the factory exhaust is going to turn rust color in about ten minutes after it rains. Now you can either go with a stainless steel system like I did, you could not care, or you could spend day and night cleaning the exhaust from underneath your truck, resulting in Loss of Friends/girlfriends/wife whatever, but man you would have some nifty looking exhaust to keep you warm at night.

Get some 100 grit sandpaper, or a sanding sponge and have at it. Once you sand the rust off [it won't be as hard as you think] rub it down with WD-40, OR paint it with high-temp paint - it will last for quite a while.
