Is that dirt on the rag or something important?
Is that dirt on the rag or something important?
Well, I cleaned the truck this afternoon. Went the whole 9 yards, as far as one can go with a manual-pay-carwash (soap, foaming brush, rinse, 2 coats of wax). When I got her back home I Armorall'd and Windexed the heck out of it too.
Now here's the odd thing. I ventured outside the truck with Armorall today. Armoralled the mirrors and the outer trim around the window. While cleaning the trim, I noticed what looked like shoe polish coming up and sticking to the rag. Now my question is... are those things just INSANELY dirty, or is there a protective coating that hates Armorall that I just ruined?

The black always comes off when mine gets wiped off. You can actually use wax on the smooth rubber surrounding the windows, just don't try it on the textured black plastic of the mirrors. I always found that Armor All on those rubber parts makes it look streaky.
