head/tail light scuffs

What is the best way to remove scuffs and scratches from head and tail lights?

I searched and read up about wet sanding with 2000 or 2500 grit paper, but is there anything else to help get rid of the marks and then a layer of clear coat to make 'em shiny.

Anything else?

Best way I've found to renew plastics is wet sanding down to 2000+ grit and buffing with a few fine plastic compounds.
I used clear on some early projects, but after a few years, the clear oxidized & turns milky.

Here's some 98 tails I just wet sanded & buffed out... look 1,000% better now

I used a plastic renew kit that was made for atv plastics haha. for $40(i think) it came with all the sandpaper and then a polishing solution. worked like a charm on the truck lights and on my project quad that had been beat to hell by a a logger for the last 6 years.
