Rain X wiper fluid......

I was in the auto parts store the other day and needed some wiper fluid. They had the normal cheap blue stuff, but they also had this orange/pink stuff that I hadn't seen before. It's Rain-X wiper fluid, costs about $4 bucks for a gallon jug. I've heard good things about Rain-X so I decided to try it.....my windshield has been very clean ever since then. This stuff works great. I won't buy the cheap stuff anymore. It's good for temperatures down to -25 degrees. I'm spoiled now.

I swear by the orange stuff. I never bothered switching to green in the summer, though.

You must not be from a state that gets much ice and snow. The orange is an ice-melting solution, plus the Rain-X additive.

I use the orange stuff in both my car and truck and have used it in all my cars since they came out with it. It's awsome and it saves your wipers by not having to use them as much cause the water beads up and rolls off. I will never use the cheap blue stuff again.

I just use the regular blue cheap stuff in the winter and normal water in the summer. I add a couple ounces of the RainX concentrated additive to every tank.. Works great.

Rain X is great if you like to slave for it. Miss a treatment and you get a nice haze on the windshield that is a PITA to get rid of and see through. I use the Peak w/ De-Icer. I don't dare use any rain x product on my truck.

I used the concentrate when I was driving a semi. Forgot to keep adding the stuff and got a hazy windshield. Made it extremely hard to see in any type of weather. Took a lot of water, windex and elbow grease to get the junk off.

I've NEVER had that problem in either of my trucks, and I've missed several tankfulls, forgetting to put in the additive.

thats why i use the rain x washer fluid, it applies itself whenever you wash the windshield. never had a streaking issue ever.

Hmm might have to try this I always just get the cheap stuff. $1.50 for a litre and a half of the Pacer stuff from Canadiantire. Good to -45 celcius.

I love the rain-x orange. I buy the rain-x fluid and cheapest blades. It's been most economical. It rains at least once a week here and sometimes for a week straight. lol It's actually been raining all day and this thread reminded me that i need to go to advanced to get some for the durango. The low wash light is on. Goin to get some now!

Yep I just run the $1 a gallon blue stuff year round. Didn't even know there was a difference lol. When it gets below 0 I have noticed that it freezes up though so maybe I should run orange in the winter. I keep a bottle of yellow prestone deicer spray in the cab if it gets crazy icy.
