Fresh Paint,,,What Now??

I just finished painting the passenger side vents and door handle panel...I used about 2 coats of Clear coat...Looking for a deeper shine, and even a protectant of some sort...
What am I looking for now,? like a rubbing compound or some wax maybe?

Not any wax or any kind of sealant. I'd recommended waiting at least 30 days after a fresh paint job before using a wax or any kind of sealant because you don't want to trap any solvents that haven't had a chance to escape from the paint. Doing so could cause premature lift of the paint. I always play it safe and wait at least 60 days but most pro painters say 30 days is fine.

You can buff the clear coat out to a nice shine by wet sanding and then using polishing compounds to bring it to a shine. What clear coat did you use? For protectant, you can use a glaze that contains no silicone in it. If it says clear coat safe, it should be fine. I used 3M Hand glaze on my hood and tailgate when they were still fresh. Just adds a little protection to it.
